Perfect San Diego Wedding Shoot Locations
Looking to make that perfect San Diego wedding video? There are many beautiful, picture perfect locations in San Diego to shoot in and make happy memories of your wedding.
California Tower
There’s the ever popular California Tower with its tiled Spanish campanile that evokes a feeling of the old world. A friend who is a San Diego wedding videographer said once he always likes to do his shoots around the tower. It’s classy and always good for themed photo shoots because it is the perfect representative of the ornate Spanish Moor architecture that encompasses most of San Diego.
San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge
This toll bridge is the major point of access to the city of Coronado but is also a beautiful sight especially at night when it is lit up and the lights are reflected in the water. It is simply magical at night when you are at water level looking up to the bridge. It is also a perennial background used in San Diego wedding videography.
Mount Soledad
Eight hundred feet up from San Diego, Mt. Soledad offers perfect views of all of San Diego. A solitary twenty-nine foot cross sits on the mountain’s peak, incidentally a subject of controversy that adds to the character of this magnificent hill that also offers an unparalleled view of the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the good places to include in wedding photography in San Diego.
Cabrillo Monument/ Point Loma Lighthouse
Erected to commemorate the first European expedition that landed in what was to become the west coast of the United States of America led by Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, it is a beautiful park that is located at the tip of scenic Point Loma peninsula. At the highest point of the park is the Old Point Loma Lighthouse, a San Diego icon since 1854. Take in a little bit of history and learn more about the city’s roots, the Cabrillo Monument has always piqued the interest of many a San Diego production video.
Other sites
Then again, you could always go to the regular, ‘touristy’ places like the San Diego Zoo or Sea World. It really depends on what you want for your wedding video. If you are a big fan of animals and wildlife, then by all means go ahead! There’s also the Gaslamp Quarter where the city annually celebrates Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp. It slumped to urban decay before being renewed in 1980. You could also visit Old Town San Diego State Historic Park where the old spirit, the old town is being preserved by the state government. You can visit Casa de Estudillo, a house constructed in 1827 and is considered one of the finest houses in Mexican California.
