A catch from a recent wedding shoot for Erik and Karin in Portland Oregon. A gorgeous wedding and a very cool couple!
A good number of the guests were amateur photographers and artists that were eager to interrogate the wedding photographer (me) on his techniques. I think many were disappointed to hear that I am a fairly straight-photographer and prefer to capture moments in reality. Photojournalistic photography is what inspires me. I save my artsy/abstract/postmodern stuff for the classroom. But don’t knock it… beauty and abstraction abound in candid photography as well!
